SeedBallz do great work before they ever reach the garden, providing work for valuable members of our community.
SeedBallz are hand-rolled and packaged by people with disabilities in the USA.
SeedBallz are balls of clay, loaded with seeds and our proprietary mix of organic materials. We like to think of them as "Candy for the Garden", but do not eat them- just place them in the ground in a sunny location.
Do NOT cover with dirt. Water frequently. SeedBallz will sprout and create beautiful clusters of flowers. SeedBallz has changed the seeding experience from a single seed / single sprout to a thick cluster of flowers.

Meet Alice Strong and her family
I started GardenBasket.com in 1986 as a multi-faceted retail business. I introduce new products through Gardenbasket.com and at many of the fabulous top Flower and Garden shows across the country. I personally select items for the home & garden, for both the gardening hobbyist and the professional gardener. Working with new manufacturers and patent attorneys gives me the opportunity to find NEW garden tools that meet the ever changing needs of gardeners. Check back with us often to see the new products I have found in my travels!

Meeting fellow gardeners
I find a lot of joy in operating my business. I enjoy the opportunity to meet thousands of gardeners at the home & garden show booths, as well as through Gardenbasket.com. I love the exchange of ideas and finding out what worries fellow gardeners as well as what excites them. It's the bringing in or "birthing" new products that I enjoy the most ...some of my friends and family say I should have been a midwife!
My four children are grown, and some of them remain in the business with me, helping with shipping and sales, and operating booths at retail garden shows across the USA. As a family, we love community, and we have found a very rich community of like-minded gardeners and businesses in the industry itself.
In my office, you will meet Sebastiane and Valerie- two women who take caring for our customers very seriously. They will win your heart, as well as answer your questions. They take great pride in customer service and satisfaction- enthusiastically responding to customer requests and ensuring safe delivery of your selections, direct to your doorstep.
Look for us at your local home and garden shows in Fall 2010 & Spring 2011- in Portland & Eugene, OR; Tacoma & Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; Boston, MA; and Philadelphia, PA.
